Annual Dinner - Lowstern

This years Annual Dinner will be held over the weekend of 18-20 September at the Lowstern Hut near Clapham

This isn't an area we travel to frequently so it's a good opportunity to broaden one's horizons with some fabulous hillwalking, climbing and caving if anyone feel the urge (I might, if only for the massive fleece onesies) nearby.

The hut has 16 places with a further 10 spaces available for camping for which you pay the measly sum of £11 per night (not £13 as originally thought)

The meal will be at the Game Cock Inn http://www.gamecockinn.co.uk/ which was chosen at random from "Hilarious Pub Names of Britain".

We actually went here in 2013 and the food was delicious so I'm looking forward to heading back. Even before you've ordered the bar snacks must rank amongst the highest I've ever seen with some full blown charcuterie and a selection of cheeses.

I have booked the pub for 20 people with the option to add some more if necessary. They don't require any pre-payment or pre-ordering so you can just choose from the normal menu on the night. There is no cashpoint for miles around though so please bring cash!
