Wasdale meet 22-25 May 15 *PRIOR BOOKING & PAYMENT REQUIRED*

Hi all

I realise it’s only a speck on the horizon for most people but I’m opening this meet very early because prior booking and payment is required by those attending (yes, I know, what a pain!). We’ll be heading to Wasdale in the Lakes for 3 days of amazing climbing, scrambling, hill walking and hopefully summer weather.

Due to the fact it is a BH weekend, in the Lakes, and there is a big group of us, all campsites require full payment up front and the easiest way to do this is for all those attending to book and pay for themselves in advance, either by phoning the campsite or online. (Please note: This should be a one off and ‘normal’ summer meets will follow the standard, and much easier, format of turn up on the Friday night and pay).

This is the campsite we will be staying at http://theoldpostofficecampsite.co.uk/ . It’s well recommended and, I’m reliably informed, close to a pub in case a rainy weather option is required. I have asked for a Mercian area to be cordoned off so we can all camp together.

If you are keen to go on this meet, can you now please:

- Book yourself onto the site and pay (either via the booking portal on the website or by phoning 01946 726286)

- Say you are from the Mercian MC when you book

- Put your name on here as having booked

- Chill out and wait for the weekend to come around

I’d urge those who are thinking of going to book soonest – you don’t want to run the risk of being a billy no mates on another campsite when this one fills up!

Don't take it personally, they did the same to me. I stalked them for a while and figured out that they answer calls better in the early afternoon. Good luck!

Can't book online, the dates aren't available. I told them this and they said "it's ok, we do have pitches available". The only problem was that when I got through to the dude on his mobile he was in a field so unable to take my booking at the time and told me to try later.

Me and Vic are now booked in. Yes, ringing early afternoon worked. If you leave a voice mail don't presume they'll ring you back, just keep trying. Do say "Mercian" when you book.

booked he didn't say anything to me about them running out of space so hopefully everyone who wants to go can. I don't mind sharing a tent with someone if they run out of space.
