26-29 August BH - Bridge End Farm

Hello Mercians

Its the last camping meet of the year, already. We will be going to Bridge End Farm at the north end of Thirlmere. A campsite most of us have used in the past. Its out the way of the typical Lake District BH crowds.

Hike - the back way up Helvellyn
Bike - a loop to Grasmere and Borrowdale
Climb - Across the road at Castle Rock of Triermain or somewhere a bit more interesting

Usually about £7/night and 20/50p? for showers. Book yourselves in on the number below.

I have booked on with 2 extra nights from night of Wednesday 24th. Nice lady was initially confused and said there was no room, but see thought i was in a caravan, just make it clear from the start you are in a small tent on either the hill or field.

Booked for Thursday 25 - depart Monday 29 for Enoch and me. Mention you are with the club and they'll direct you to the further field, if you want to camp together that is .

Well i rang up and tried to book in but the lady said to just turn up.

She asked 'are you with the walking club?' ......I said yes and that was it. Didn't want my name or contact no or details or nights or anything.

So there we go.....

Simon and i planning on arriving Friday 26th and leaving Monday 29th.
