Ty Gwyn Deiniolen - 5-7 Oct

Post by Adam »

Hello Mercians

By now you have probably all signed up to the anual dinner, but thats not for 5 weeks. So in the mean time you have a trip to sunny Wales to look forward to. We will be staying at Ty Gwyn in Deiniolen. I have never stayed there myself, but the photos look nice, and it has no less than 5 ikea bouncy chairs.

Hike - Tackle the lesser visited northern end of the glyders.
Bike - Snowdon and Telegraph valley
Climb - A bit of slate, or perhaps a classic rock in the pass.

12 spaces.
£11 pppn.

http://www.lincolnmountaineeringclub.or ... ut/hut.asp

Sign up quick (the first 5 shotgun the bouncy chairs).

I’m in please!

For those of you that are interested there is a free lecture at Pete’s Eats on the Saturday evening at 6.30 on climbing the Matterhorn. You don’t need to book but will need to turn up a bit earlier to get a seat.

I guess those interested could then return to the hut for dinner or stay on for an eat out option??

Please count me in too. Matterhorn lecture sounds great - always love to hear about others adventures even if I’d never do them myself!

Hi Ruth

For hut meets the whole hut (or an allocation of bed spaces) is already booked by the meets sec in advance for our club. All you need to do is sign up on here, bring your money and turn up!

Myself and Dylan would like to attend this meet.

I'd deffo be interested in the talk. Perhaps a meal out afterwards would be a good option, and a change.

Peace out,

K

Hello Peeps

See maps below of where the hut is. Park in the wide bit of road, I assume behind the white car. There is NO PARKING outside the hut. Go down the track to the right, to the second white house.

I have the key but there is a key code, check your email shortly. Should be there by 9 ish, maybe.
