New Year
Hello Mercians
The new year is now open for booking. This year we will be staying at the Alex MacIntyre hut in North Ballachulish, at the Fort William end of Glen Coe. Many of you have been to this area and/or this hut before, so you know whats on offer.
A good hut in an excellent location. If the conditions are right you could do the winter traverse of the Aonach Eagach Ridge, summit Ben Nevis via the CMD arete, some skiing in Glencoe Mountain or Nevis Range. The alternative, if its raining, is some abject Scottish misery, closely followed by a trip to the indoor climbing wall in Kinlochleven. But that wont happen.
The hut is booked for arrival on 29 Dec, depart on 2 Jan (4 nights), 16 spaces at £11 per night. People booking all nights will be given priority.

Also worth noting if the meet is over subscribed, holiday cottages at Inchree, just up the road, have been used in the past. They are very pleasant, with good heating and Loch views.
Be quick

Re: New Year
Jules can I have the casserole please?
Lou, if it's bread and butter then no thanks but possibly if you decide on something else.
Cheers.
