Hear hear! Hear hear! We officially decree that the season of outdoor climbing is upon us! Until it inevitably snows next week...

With the warmer weather in mind we thought it would be rather fabulous to run an 'outdoor climbing day' at Stanage on Saturday 26th of April for members who are seeking an introduction or refresher to trad climbing. We will have some trusty 'old' members on hand to support the day. If this sounds right up your route then please sign up below.

What is it? A relaxed day in the Peak for members old and new dusting off those outdoor climbing skills.
What should I bring? Yourself, climbing gear, food and drinks of choice .
Do we get to go to the pub? Yes! Please let us know in the sign up below if you are interested in a pub dinner and we can book a table.
Where should I stay? It can be done as a day trip from Birmingham or if you want to join hardy Scots Tom and Beth you can also camp and make a weekend of it.

For those coming to the outdoor climbing day on 26 April, Tom and Beth have just booked North Lees campsite - you might want to book up as there aren't many car camping spots left - unless some hardy souls are biking there

I will come for the day climbing and count me in for dinner. Not sure about camping though, as have a half marathon on the Sunday and not keen on sleeping on the floor before this! However, I may sack it off as have not run more than 5k this year yet so may be a bit unrealistic.

Zoe and I have both booked nth lees camping for Fri and Sat
