Re: Sailing Taster Social
Anyone else want to "dip their toe in the water" and have a go at sailing? I need a minimum of 10 by Tuesday 18th for this event to go ahead.
Please invite your friends and family to have a go.

Re: Sailing Taster Social
Hi Mike, can you put Kris down for this as well. Will transfer cash tonight. Thanks
Re: Sailing Taster Social
There is one place left on the course although I may be able to squeeze in more than 16. I know they have 20 Pico dinghies the limitation may be staff levels.
They told me they will probably provide wetsuits so please bring swimmers to wear under the wet suits. Also bring a change of clothes and a poly bag to put wet gear in.
If you have not sailed before and wear specs bring a piece of string to tie your specs onto your head. A pair of gloves (not wool or fleece) may also be useful to protect your hands when pulling ropes particularly if it is windy.

Hi Mike, could I have the last place please unless someone's beaten me to it!?

If anyone drops out please let me know ASAP because Geoff would like to go.

Re: Sailing Taster Social
Despite the very light winds several boats capsized mainly due to the Huw factor. I think most people had a good time and we will repeat this hopefully with a bit more wind.

Re: Sailing Taster Social
What was the 'Huw Factor'? Deliberate sabotage or giving bad advice?
