Mercian Mountaineering Club

Hello Mercians,

Another exciting camping meet for you - this time the August bank holiday. We are announcing and booking early again due to the ever-busy British camping scene this summer.

This time we are heading north to the Lakes and also marking two big occassions for club members - the marriage of Amandeep and Sunny and Fabian's departure for chilly northern climes (Scotland).

I've found a campsite that has space for us and is happy to take a well behaved group (I promised them we are well behaved!).

A nice looking site near Troutbeck, just off the A66. All the delights of the Northern Lakes on the doorstep - Blencathra, Ullswater, Helvellyn etc etc... I'm sure you all know the score by now. 

£15 per night for campers. 

Hope you can join us. As ever for a camping meet, book your own pitch and I would advise doing this early as it is a bank holiday weekend.

Just tried to book on their website and there’s “no availability” for campervans or tents

I booked on by email using the contact form on the website.

There’s no email address on the website so I’ve filled in the enquiry form and and waiting to hear
