Afternoon All

The George Starkey Hut meet is now open

This is a very popular, comfortable Hut situated in Patterdale, Lake District. An excellent location from which to summit Helvellyn, climb on the numerous nearby Crags, cycle around Ullwater or attempt fell running (for those training for the half marathon!). The village of Patterdale also has a couple of pubs a short walk from the Hut.

I’m also going label this as my ‘ 30th Birthday Meet’. Plans still being thought through but will probably involve a BBQ on the Saturday evening followed by a trip to pub.

Brian - I am in contact with the Starkey Hut Warden over keys, payments etc so will ask whether you can stay for longer. How many nights extra would you be looking at?
