Hi All

Booking for Tan Y Garth is now open, a bonus summer hut meet that we have been able to reschedule following its cancellation in Jan due to the snow.

Great hut with a pub just nearby, and an excellent location in the Snowdonia area for walking, scrambling, with lots of mountain biking trail centres and routes, including DH biking as per Adam's post.

Website is: http://gwydyrmc.co.uk/hut/ and 20 spaces at £9 pp per night. The map link on the website doesn't work, but the hut address is on the top right hand corner.

Bit gutted i can't make this weekend, i fancy the Tan y Garth DH trails. Have a good one.

Had a look at the DH biking thing and there are only 4 tracks down, 2 of which are black runs, so will probably give it a miss

Having been to to this hut before I seem to remember that electricity was metered so it may be a good idea for everyone to take some pound coins (and possibly 50p's).
Is anyone going up early Friday with the key?

Rab, we're starting out about ten intending to get there about one and have an afternoon walk, what time do you expect to be there?

Huw, only just seen your message, was too busy to check the site yesterday! I'll get a query off straight away!

Believe it or notr, the Met Office Weather Widget, set for Capel, forecasts wall to wall sunshine for the weekend - I'm packing an umbrella!

Brian we should arrive about 3ish.

Here is the reply about Sunday night:

"You are welcome to stay on the Sunday night.
The rate for Sunday night is £7-50 per head.
Please add this to any balance due in respect of numbers over 10 staying at the weekend.

The amount paid for the booking last January covers you for up to 10 in the party for the Friday & Saturday nights"

Rab, we will do a walk, something low level probably, and get to the hut after three.

To Mercians going on meet,

Last minute thought. I am happy to offer a group main meal for Saturday evening of my usual chicken casserol and rice.
Please let me know if you want this by 9 am on Friday.
