As long as driving conditions are not too bad I hope to turn up and activate the summit for SOTA, with the 3-point winter bonus it will be a handy 5 points for me!

Slow on the activating, 113 so far. Chasing I am just below 11,000.

This month the state of Victoria in Oz joined the SOTA program, we now have 57 Associations (actually more as each state in the USA, Canada and Australia - and when they get around to it, Russian oblast, has or will have Associations to prevent an Association having an astronomical number of summits!) To give an idea of how active the program is, over the 48 hours of this last weekend there were 86 activations world-wide - in mid winter! I expect that a typical summer weekend will see something like 300 activations this year. Quite a few hill-walkers and even climbers have got their ham license so that they can join in - any takers here?

Its OK now, Roland, it was running rough but a good clean-up round the distributor cured it. Hope you had a good day on the Stiperstones.
