Hi,

Is there a more detailed plan about the scattering of Norman's ashes?

We are assuming that it will be done on the Saturday, are we correct in assuming that?

Thanks

Anna

Not sure what the plan is for Saturday but it would be nice to walk from the hut to Tryfan about 10km one way cross country. I am sure Norman would not approve of being driven round!

Take your head torches I am sure the last few miles back to the hut will be in the dark. Thanks to Roland for cooking the dinner that night.

On Sunday I could organise a fell run I used to do this when we had the hut at Capel Curig and we would run over to Crafnant and back and finished at the Cobdens Hotel for a drink and a dip in the river (it was summer time). I am sorry there will be no pub at the end when starting at Crafnant. There are two steep climbs out of and back down to the Crafnant valley the rest is on good paths and forestry tracks.

I’m too old to run these days but I can organise! :D

Hello all
Check out the first post on here, I've added details for hut access.

Mike - that sounds like a good plan. A few people have mentioned coming up for the day on Saturday so an idea of what time you would all be leaving the hut would be good. Could we say meet at 0845 to leave at 9 am? Or would an earlier start be needed?

I'm not sure I'll make this one but hope you have great weather for it.
Julie

Hi everyone,
Is anyone able to give me a lift please? I can't really leave until after 6 on Friday and live near city hospital.

Roland can I join with the group meal as well?

Hey, please put me down for this meet. Thanks :)

Also, Tim, you can jump in with me and Tom but he demands chocolate buttons! Send me a PM with your address.

Suggest we leave hut at 9am on Saturday, weather looks awful in the morning rain and sleet on the nose as we walk west, better in the afternoon. We will cross the A5 near Helyg so if day trippers want to meet us there about 10.30am they could walk the last bit to Tryfan. I think there is a layby by the Helyg hut.

Geoff, Nick and I are travelling up together leaving Brum about 3.30pm Friday stopping at Oswestry for a meal on the way up.

Who has Norman?

Hi Tim,

Vicki and I are leaving from Sutton Coldfield in my car at 7pm. We live a 2 minute walk from the train station which is only a 15 minute train ride from New Street. If you can make it to us you are welcome to hop in. If you get a better (more convenient) offer no hard feelings.

Stew.

As there's still plenty of spaces, I've got a couple of friends coming on the Saturday who might or might not stop over

WHERE IS NORMAN?

Dear Mike,

I gather that Vicky and Stewart have Norman.
