Tom and I are keen to come, possibly for just the Friday night- as it stands I'm working on Sunday. Is it possible to camp outside the hut?

Hi Emma, alas you can't camp by the hut, it's just a car park. But Pierce and Fran are already staying at the YHA for the night, it's just down the road. Why not book in there, and then on Saturday morning the four of you can hook up at Agnes Spencer (nice and early ) with everyone else for a day on the hills. Once again I can't make the meet but I'll send Vicki up with my crampons in case you need them. Have fun.

Thanks so much for the offer of crampons- they were very much appreciated last time (Tom hasn't forgotten he owes you a pint). We will book into the YHA (had a quick look and there were no private rooms left but we can share a dorm or camp there instead.)

When we've been here in our van we have camped at the Patterdale Hall Estate CL just across the road. It might be worth calling in or giving them a ring and if they're not busy they might let you pitch up there.

We have booked to stay at the YH Patterdale- Tom will be there both nights, I'll just stay Friday night and get a train home at 20:00 on Saturday. We will have to miss out on fajitas to get to the station unfortunately, thank you for the offer though Beth. Look forward to seeing you all there.
