Ross can Ali have haggis, he couldn't get on the forum to ask himself.

I'm afraid I will be giving the haggis a miss

Thanks,
Jodie

on that note, if anyone has any spare winter gear they'd be willing to lend a poor hapless n00b I'd be very much obliged, bordering on eternally grateful.

Tom - you're welcome to my 'spares' but you'll have to get them off Riggers. You'll need them for sure this weekend.
Welcome to a lift if you need.

Hope everything is okay with you guys. You missed a good meet although it seems like you got all the snow. :) I'll be putting pics/blog up later.

A few pictures from the meet are now online.

Thanks go to Simon for leading the climb and getting us off safely in the dark (even if he did get us lost twice :)), Muffin for his entertaining company on the belay ledges, Ross for the yummy food and to Lou, Jodie and Tom for looking after me when I came back soaking wet and freezing cold after 12 hours on the hill.

Thanks to everyone else there for their great company as always.

I've realised that I was wrongly blaming my rucksack for my sore shoulders when actually it's just all the winter climbing as I'm really not used to swinging ice axes hour after hour.

Right, I'm off to do a quick blog post and send see about turning a slanket into a new sleeping bag liner to try and keep me from freezing next weekend.

P.S my boots are already on their fifth newspaper change and there's still no discernible change in wetness.

It was a fun weekend :) Really enjoyed our walk today too.

Also found a one lonely, north face fleece in the drying room before we left. Ladies, black, medium. Rab is it yours? If so Adam has it in his car.
