We will be visiting the adventure playground that we know and love, the national park formerly known as Snowdonia.
Our destination will be it's very heart, camping next to Llyn Gwynant, underneath the mighty Snowdon herself.

The campsite is the imaginatively titled Llyn Gwynant Campsite (https://gwynant.uk/campsite-close-to-snowdon-yr-wyddfa/). It's a very relaxed place, in the most beautiful of surroundings, and super well located for quick access to the Llanberis, Ogwen and Nantlle Valleys, and close to Tremadog also. There are multiple walks direct from the campsite, and there's probably some of the bicycle stuff too.
The campsite is well equipped. Obviously it has hot running water and shower. But you'll also find a little camping shop there, and there's a cafe that does pizza. The camping field is for tents only, cars have their own car park, so you really get a feeling of being in nature. This is a popular place, so you will need to book in advance. Groups are allowed but there are hoops to jump through, so please don't mention our name and simply make individual bookings. The price is approx £16pppn (good value when you consider the location) but there do appear to be extras for cars/dogs/trailers. Fires are allowed, but you must buy the wood from them.
With the great run of weather sure to continue, this looks like it'll be an amazing mountain adventure weekend.
