Reeth camping meet, Yorkshire Dales - May Day Bank Holiday

We would like to announce that the club will be visiting the Yorkshire Dales for the May Day Bank Holiday, from Friday 2nd to Monday 5th May.

We will be staying at Nun Cote Nook campsite, on the hill overlooking the village of Reeth and the River Swale, just West of Richmond.

This is a great location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Only a few miles from the idyllic Swaledale, which offers excellent walking (on the Pennine Way), biking, and swimming. For the climbers, the trad venue of Hagg Wood is very local with easy access, plus an assortment of small quarries in the area offer bolted routes.

The campsite is on a working farm, equipped with toilets/showers/washing up station, and is a very reasonable £10pppn. By the way, this is the camp site that the club visited as one of the first meets after lockdown in May 2021, a most memorable meet!

The nearest pub is The Bridge Inn at Grinton, 10 mins drive downhill. And marginally further in Reeth itself there are two more drinking establishments.

Please express your interest below, and we'll be able to give the camp site an idea of numbers to give to the camp site.

I'm in if I can sort out travel. This is the best I can do in terms of timings, no busses run to Reeth on Saturday. If I get a bus to Darlington I'll need a lift from Darlington to Reeth on the Saturday. I arrive at 4am and happy to wait for a good soul to come pick me up before the walk/climb,etc. and drop me off for my return journey at 15:30h.

Otherwise can get to anywhere in Birmingham on Friday evening around 7pm.
