Open Water Swim Lakes 26th September

Post by ZoeB »

A few of us have hatched a plan for an open water swim at Crummock in the Lake District on 26th September.

We will be attempting to swim the full 4k distance but there is an option for a shorter swim if there is interest (1.5kish).

There is a campsite in Buttermere, as well as a YHA for anyone who doesn’t want to camp. We will be staying Friday and Saturday and imagine we will have dinner / beers in the pub after.

If anyone is interested in either swimming or being part of the safety boat crew please sign up below and let me know which you would like to do. Would be very grateful for some extra safety boaters! We currently have 1 canoe and 2 paddle boards available but could look into hiring / borrowing more if there is interest.

Anyone is welcome - even if you just want to come for the craic of a bonus end of summer camping trip!

And I'm keen to join as a part of the support crew, borrowing Stew's paddleboard if possible!
