Little Langdale Cottage - 31/10-1-11 2025

Aaaaaand we're back in Langdale - a little sooner than we otherwise might due to a teensy organisational snafu by the other hut booking sec but hey ho - there are worse fates that having to come back to the best valley in the Lakes to a hut a mere hop, skip and jump from the Three Shires Inn! We're ...

Re: Tan Y Garth, Capel Curig - 10-12 October 2025

Hi all,

16 beds + one van should be fine. That's 17 people using the hut facilities and the hut warden did say it would be a bit cramped after that so we'll say no more beds will be available and any further additions will go on the reserve list.

Re: Annual Dinner- Great Langdale 19-21 Sept 2025

Yes indeed, glad rags ON please! I've added Andy to the meet and removed Josie for the time being. As Josie is neither a member nor a prospective member, paid-up members take precendence. If we have any dropouts Josie is welcome to attend though she will attract the non-member supplement to the hut ...

Hi Roland,

Be great to have you, been far too long since you made a meet :)

The rule is that you can sign yourself and one other. If one of the other guys could login to sign up that would be great, as in case of oversubscription people who have signed themself up will take precedence.

Annual Dinner- Great Langdale 19-21 Sept 2025

No sooner has the August Bank Holiday meet flown by than thoughts turn to the autumn, with falling leaves and the first chill of winter.  More importantly, swimsuits AWAY layers ON because it's pudding season baby! With that in mind, the Annual Dinner is slightly earlier than usual this year given t...

6-8 June, Acton Dorset

Do you LOVE grazing Brontosauruses? giant-pooping Triceratops? Dilophosauruses with no sense of decorum? Then you'll love Dorset's Jurassic Coast which - going by the name - has herds of live dinosaurs roaming around. Otherwise why would they call it that? Right?? There is also some climbing at Swan...

Snow Week 2026

Hi all, This post it to gauge interest in a Mercian Snow Week(end) in 2026! We've previously done trips to Scotland in February in search of snow and ice but they've been fallow for a while now. I will search for accommodation based on the number of people signed up here - be warned it may be privat...

28/03-30/03 Cefn Goch, Deiniolen

Come with us to Deiniolen! Village slogan "those extra Ls are actually Is". A great hut with prime table dancing opportunities (see NY 2023 for details!). Primary purpose of this hut is to shake your fist at the shittest hill in Wales - Elidir Fawr - and mutter darkly as you leave the hut ...
